The Difference We Make

At Care to Volunteer (CToV), we believe that no one should feel forgotten, unseen, or left behind.

Loneliness is one of the most pressing social challenges of our time, affecting millions of people across the UK.

We exist to change that, by connecting caring volunteers with those who need them most.
We work with businesses, public sector partners, and individuals to create volunteering programmes that deliver real human connection and measurable social value.

Our Vision

A society where every person feels connected, valued, and supported, no matter their age, background, or circumstances.

Our Mission

To tackle loneliness by building structured volunteering opportunities that:
Empower individuals to give their time meaningfully
Support businesses in delivering their ESG goals
Help public sector organisations meet social value requirements
Strengthen communities through human connection

Our Values

Compassion - We act with empathy, care, and respect.
Collaboration - We believe lasting change comes from working together.
Integrity - We are transparent, trustworthy, and accountable.
Impact - We focus on meaningful, measurable change.
Inclusion - We welcome people from all walks of life.

Why We Exist

Loneliness has been called an “epidemic”, linked to poor health, reduced quality of life, and higher demand on public services. Yet it can be addressed through something as simple, and as powerful, as human connection.

We exist to bring that connection to life, by making volunteering accessible, structured, and impactful.

What We Do

For Volunteers

We provide safe, flexible opportunities to give time and make a difference.

For Businesses

We help employers engage staff in meaningful volunteering, aligned with ESG goals.

For Public Sector Partners

We deliver measurable social value outcomes to support procurement and commissioning.

The Human Difference

Behind every policy requirement or corporate target is a person who just needs someone to listen, care, and be there.
That’s why everything we do is driven by human stories, the volunteer who feels more fulfilled, the older person who smiles again, the employee who finds new purpose.

Are you a charity or a business?

We operate as a social impact organisation, designed to work with individuals, corporates, and public sector partners to maximise volunteering impact.

What stage are you at as an organisation?

We are newly launched, building partnerships and growing our volunteer base to tackle loneliness at scale.

Who can get involved?

Anyone, individuals, employees through their workplace, and organisations looking to deliver social value.

Do you charge for your services?

Volunteering itself is free. For businesses and public sector partners, we offer tailored programmes and reporting services aligned to their needs.

How do you ensure credibility as a new organisation?

Our approach is guided by government frameworks, safeguarding standards, and best practice in volunteering. We also prioritise transparency and accountability in all our partnerships.

We are at the beginning of this journey, and we invite you to be part of it.

Together, we can build a movement where caring becomes a shared responsibility and loneliness becomes a thing of the past.
