The Heart of Care to Volunteer

Founder & Director

Our Founder, Omar Mahmood provides the vision and leadership that guide Care to Volunteer. He is responsible for strategy, partnerships, and ensuring that every project delivers measurable results in tackling loneliness and social isolation. An experienced entrepreneur with a strong background in social enterprise and community development, Omar brings both business acumen and compassion to his role. He is deeply committed to building a values-driven organisation that puts people first, bridging the gap between corporate social responsibility and real human connection. Through his community work and entrepreneurial insight, Omar has helped shape Care to Volunteer into a trusted network that brings together individuals and organisations to support older residents across the UK.

Corporate Partnerships Lead

Our Corporate Partnerships Lead plays a key role in connecting the business world with community impact.
They work closely with local councils, corporate partners, and sponsors to design volunteering programmes that align with Social Value and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals. Their work ensures that every partnership benefits both sides — helping businesses deliver measurable social impact while bringing new energy, skills, and resources to community projects.

By bridging the gap between corporate responsibility and grassroots action, our Partnerships Lead helps make volunteering a part of everyday business culture.

Safeguarding & Operations Manager

The Safeguarding and Operations Manager ensures that everything we do is safe, compliant, and inclusive. They oversee volunteer vetting, safeguarding procedures, data protection, and operational quality, ensuring that every volunteer and community member is protected and supported. As the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, they ensure that all activities meet the highest standards of care and accountability. Their attention to detail and compassion help create a culture of trust and safety across our organization. At Care to Volunteer, safeguarding isn’t just a policy — it’s a promise.

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

Our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is at the heart of our organisation — supporting, training, and celebrating the volunteers who make everything possible. They lead recruitment, onboarding, and development to ensure that every volunteer feels confident, informed, and part of a caring community. Through regular check-ins, training sessions, and community events, they help volunteers build meaningful relationships with older residents. Their goal is simple: to make sure every volunteer’s experience is positive, purposeful, and personally rewarding. Because when volunteers feel valued and supported, their impact on others grows even stronger.
